When a person can’t attend church services, that person often misses their friends and the fellowship of the congregation. The Lay Eucharistic Ministry is an ancient and wonderful ministry that brings a sense of the church community to the communicant. While these visits do not take the place of clergy visits; Lay Eucharist Visitors and their Communicants find that these visits can be a rewarding and rich spiritual experience. A Lay Eucharistic Visitor brings Christ’s table to the Communicant as well as brings a part of the community of Christ the King to their home or hospital bed.
LEV’s are baptized non-ordained members in good standing with Christ the King of Tucson and have demonstrated pastoral sensitivity and reverence while administering the Holy Sacraments. Our LEV’s have been trained by The Rev. Anita M. Slovak, Rector or Marilyn Beasley, Sub-Deacon. If you have questions or are interested in this ministry, please contact us at mtranita@ctktucson.org.
If you or someone you know is not able to attend church for a short time or an extended period of time due to illness, surgery, or other, please call the church office at 520-297-2551 to arrange a visit.
