The Arizona Repertory Singers is a 48-voice choral ensemble that shares its tradition of choral artistry and varied performance repertoire – spanning several eras from Renaissance to current contemporary choral music – with audiences of all ages in Tucson and Pima County. The ensemble’s volunteer singers, selected through a rigorous audition process, maintain full-time careers in business, education, engineering, information technology, law, medicine, social service, science and the arts.
In December 2017 we will present holiday favorites, and a work known as the “Mona Lisa of Renaissance music,” Ave Maria, Virgo Serena by Josquin des Prez. In keeping with our commitment to presenting the best new choral music, we will offer Will Todd’s gorgeous I am changed, composed just last year, and Stars by Eriks Esenvalds, which calls for choristers to play tuned wine glasses as they sing, creating a stunning aural effect.
Tickets for the concert on December 8, 2017 may be purchased from arsingers.org.
