Fr. Fred served the Diocese of Southeast Florida for nearly thirty years (including many years as Canon for Education and Ministry) before his retirement and moving to Tucson with his wife Becky in 2005. He was appointed Interim Rector of Christ the King by Bishop Kirk Smith in 2011, and has helped the parish in various ways until Mother Anita Slovak was called to be rector in 2016. He currently teaches the Adult Forum each Sunday, celebrates the Eucharist, preaches as assigned, and assists with promotion of parish events. His personal interests beyond the church include amateur astronomy, and he and Becky recently constructed a small observatory in their back yard in Catalina.
