Education for Ministry
Currently not meeting at Christ the King, only online classes available. Please call our office for more information: 520-297-2551.
Have you felt a yearning to explore your own faith and the traditions of the Church at a greater depth?
Are you facing times of transition when there may be new opportunities to express and increase your faithful actions? Are you eager to become part of a group that is also committed to growing both their knowledge and spiritual life? Are you able to commit four to five hours per week to this effort?
Education for Ministry, usually known as EfM, is a certificate program of theological education-at-a-distance of the Beecken School of Theology of the University of the South. Students sign up one year at a time for this four-year program, which covers the basics of a theological education.
A Continuing Education certificate is available for each year of study, provided the participant has not missed more than three seminars. The University of the South awards a Certificate to those who complete all four years.
