Youth News

Vacation Bible School

Our always-popular Vacation Bible School will be held on Sundays from July 30 through August 27, 9:15 till noon.

This year’s theme is Surf  Shack. Come catch the wave of God’s AMAZING love through shared games, snacks, music, skits and crafts. VBS is open to youth pre-K to 12th grade. The nursery will remain available for those too young to participate.

Registration forms will be available soon. For more information contact Kathy Hatter at or Edina Hall at .

Adults can help, too! Your generosity allows us to provide this ministry at no cost to the youth who attend.

A VBS Pick-it Poster will be hanging in the hall by the name tags. Just choose an item we need to make crafts and snacks, collect or purchase the item and bring it to church by July 16.

Items we need in larger quantities are listed below:
· Small 8oz water bottles with lid
· Pinecones (this is easy and free!)
· Red wax from Babybel Cheese Snacks
· Powdered laundry detergent
· Dryer sheets

You might also want to consider joining the BS team. Requirements include a willingness to be a bit silly and get a little messy. Contact Kathy Hatter at  to arrange to take the “Protecting God’s Children” course and you are on your way!  We could also use help organizing the final All-Parish Beach Party (we PROMISE you won’t have to take a turn in the dunk tank!)

Please call the church office at 297-2551 by noon on the preceding Friday to let us know you will need childcare for the Saturday service.

Daffodil Sales Provided Two Camperships for Chapel Rock

Our spring Daffodil sale was very successful!  Your generous purchases are supporting two full Chapel Rock camperships ($750+) for the youth of our Parish. Donated daffodils were also delivered to 24 home-bound parishioners. There were tears of joy and smiles as bright as the sun.  Thank you for helping transform the lives of our children and for bringing God closer to one and all.  Special thanks to my helpers, Marcy Windorski and Marilyn Beasley. – Lynn Speth
