Children’s Choir
King’s Choristers is the children’s choir in residence at Christ the King. It is made up of both children from the parish and children from the surrounding community. King’s Choristers uses English cathedral choir training models, and instruction in music reading, music theory, and the basics of singing is included.
King’s Choristers is open to children in grades 2 and up. Rehearsals are noon-1pm on Sundays (lunch provided) and 4:00pm-5:00pm on Wednesdays. Participants are required to attend one of these two rehearsals each week. Children do NOT have to be members of Christ the King, the Episcopal Church, or the Christian faith tradition to participate in King’s Choristers. Furthermore, NO previous music experience is required. For children who are not members of the parish, we ask for a $50/semester fee to cover the cost of music and materials.
