Arizona Diamondbacks’ Faith & Family Night Invitation

Members of parishes in the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona and their friends are invited to see the D-backs take on the San Francisco Giants on Friday, August 25 at 6:40 p.m. Join us at Trinity Cathedral, 100 W. Roosevelt Street in Phoenix, for a pre-game celebration beginning at 5 o’clock.

We’ll gather for refreshments and fellowship, then take the light rail to the ballpark. Parking is available in selected spots in the garage in front of Diocesan House and on the streets in the neighborhood. Local food trucks will offer food for purchase, and rail tickets at $4/person for an all-day pass can be purchased at the stop nearest the cathedral.

We’re all sitting together this year, so you will have an opportunity to chat with fellow Episcopalians and Bishop and Laura Smith. Our seats (with backs) in the Lower Level Bleachers, Section 141 are available for $22/person. A portion of every ticket purchased using special offer/promo code: EPISCOPAL will be donated to the Diocesan Council for Native American Ministry. Seating is Limited and the ticket order deadline is August 23! Click here to purchase tickets.

After the game, stay for the D-Backs Faith & Family Night festivities, including fireworks, a player Q&A and a concert by Newsboys .

Questions about the event may be directed to Nicole A. Krug, Canon for Media & Communications, at 602.254.0976.

The Christmas Market will be held on Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Weather permitting, we will use the spaces upstairs, downstairs and on the East Patio for displays by outside vendors, a big bake sale and wonderful items made by our CTK ministries and others. Breakfast and lunch will be served and the Dulcimer Singers will perform.   We hope that holding the Market earlier than in the past will lead to greater sales and more money for CTK projects! A Mini Market will be held for parishioners on December 10

We will provide training!

We garden for a few hours on the third Saturday of each month, beginning at 9 a.m. Please wear sunscreen and bring a sun hat, water, gloves and your favorite small gardening tools. All are welcome!

Monthly Potluck Promises Good Food and Fellowship

A simple “potluck” luncheon is held immediately following the 10:30 service on the third Sunday of every month.  Each month– with the exception of those Sundays when a Newcomers’ Reception is scheduled–a different ministry group hosts the event.  The luncheon provides a great opportunity for fellowship and a chance to meet the parishioners who are active in the host ministry! To facilitate planning, please use the family attendance sheets (provided on the patio on the first Sunday of the month) to let us know you will be present and if you can bring bread or a dessert to accompany the simple entree and beverages provided by our host group.  Sonja Fritton coordinates the Third Sunday luncheons, but helpers are always needed to set up the tables with food and drink.

There’s Always Something Interesting to See in Our Creations in Art Gallery!

Located in the Library, Christ the King’s Creations in Art gallery is open every Sunday from 9:00 am till 12:30 pm., except for the months of June, July and August. The gallery features the work of parishioners and, occasionally, interesting work by other local artists. Christ the King receives 20% of all Gallery sales. Visit the gallery page for information about current and coming exhibits.

Don’t Forget to Check Out the Youth News Page!

Under the Youth News tab on this web site, you’ll find a description of our robust Christian Education program, ongoing and upcoming youth-centered activities and ways you can help support these important members of our parish in their work and play.
