IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM EPISCOPAL RELIEF & DEVELOPMENT

If you are wondering how you might help families whose lives have been impacted by the winds and water associated with hurricanes Harvey and Irma, please consider clicking this link to make a donation to ERD’s Hurricane Relief Fund. Your support will supply critical necessities to individuals and communities as they recover and rebuild. Since 1940, Episcopal Relief and Development has worked with church partners to rebuild after disasters and empower people to create lasting solutions that fight poverty, hunger and disease in over 40 countries. If you have questions about the fund, please contact Deacon Linda Hale, who is our parish liaison to ERD.

Join Us for THE STORY  September 6, 2017-May 30, 2018!

Beginning in September, Michael Seiler, MDiv and Mother Anita Slovak will facilitate a new Bible study group based on The Story,  a book designed to increase our understanding of God’s great love affair with humanity through an unfolding progression of Biblical characters and events from Genesis to Revelation as described in the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible.

Each week, for 31 weeks (with a few exceptions) we will read and discuss one of the 31 chapters of The Story, which is constructed to allow easier access to the stories, poems, and teachings of the Bible because they can be read sequentially.  Of course, The Story, like the Bible, is filled with intrigue, drama, conflict, romance and redemption! The class schedule will permit two weeks to be set aside for fellowship.

  • When and where: Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8 p.m.  We will begin our sessions in the church (nave). Bring your dinner, if you wish.
  • Format:  Book (The Story), workbook, short video and small group discussion
  • Cost:  $15 for your copy of the book and workbook
  • Sign up: It’s not too late to join this 31-week class! Contact Mother Anita at mtranita@ctktucson.org to sign up or speak to her in person, if you prefer. We need a minimum of 5 students to encourage stimulating discussions, so please let us know as soon as possible if you intend to participate.
